I'm Sabir Koutabi, currently a Front-End Developer and a student of Software Engineering. My academic background is in Finance and Banking, and I've previously worked as a Financial Operations Coordinator at CIH BANK. Despite finding success in finance, I realized my passion lies in programming

So, I made a career switch. Now, I'm focused on learning and growing in the field of software engineering while also working as a Front-End Developer. I believe my background in finance gives me a unique perspective in the tech industry, helping me approach coding with attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Morocco, a land rich in vibrant culture and stunning landscapes, is where I call home. Nestled on the Atlantic coast of this diverse country lies Essaouira, a charming town with a unique blend of history and beauty.

Located in the western part of Morocco, Essaouira is known for its picturesque beaches, bustling medina, and laid-back atmosphere. It's a city close to Marrakech, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

After earning my bachelor's degree in finance and banking, I embarked on a four-year career at a bank as i already mentionned. Despite my professional growth, the allure of programming was always in the back of my mind. The idea of switching to programming fascinated me, but the challenges posed by the pandemic and its aftermath kept me from diving in.

Everything changed when I received a life-changing promotion that required relocating to a distant city. Standing at a crossroads, I had to choose between continuing my ascent in the finance sector or pursuing my passion for programming. I chose the latter.

I began my programming journey by watching YouTube tutorials on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These introductory lessons allowed me to create small applications like a to-do list app and a weather app. The process of turning lines of code into functional tools was exhilarating.

To further my skills, I delved into ReactJS and TypeScript, expanding my knowledge to include backend development. I tackled tasks involving APIs, databases, and authentication. This learning phase culminated in the creation of more complex applications, such as a movie app and a house booking app.

However, I realized that self-taught skills alone might not be enough. I felt I lacked the deep understanding of fundamental principles that formal education provides. To bridge this gap, I enrolled in the ALX Africa Software Engineering Program , a rigorous 12-month course designed to impart the essential foundations of software engineering.

The ALX Africa program is renowned for its intensive curriculum, which covers a wide range of topics from computer science basics to advanced software development techniques. This program emphasizes hands-on projects and real-world problem-solving, ensuring that students not only learn theoretical concepts but also apply them practically. The collaborative and supportive learning environment fosters growth and innovation, making it an ideal place for aspiring software engineers to hone their skills.

In addition to the ALX program, I supplemented my learning with courses from Frontend Masters. These courses provided in-depth knowledge on various frontend technologies and best practices, further enhancing my ability to build sophisticated and efficient web applications.

Currently, I am proud to have completed the ALX Software Engineering Program and continue to learn and grow as a programmer. The journey from finance to programming has been challenging yet incredibly rewarding. Each step forward reaffirms my decision to follow my passion and reinforces my commitment to mastering the art and science of programming.

Outside of work and studies, you'll often find me immersed in the world of football. I have a deep passion for both playing and watching the beautiful game. As a devoted supporter of FC Barcelona, I take great joy in following their matches and cheering on the team through every triumph and challenge.

I love gaming and the community that surrounds it. It's a world where I can immerse myself in exciting adventures and have a great time with my friends. Among the games I enjoy are soulslike games in general , because of the sense of accomplishment they bring. Immersing myself in challenging titles like Elden Ring ,darksouls , sekiro and other Soulslike games is where I find true satisfaction. The difficulty they offer pushes me to my limits, but with perseverance and determination, overcoming those challenges brings an unparalleled sense of achievement.

I also love counter strike a game i played since i was 14 years old starting with cs 1.6 , cs source then csgo and now cs2, a game with countless fun memeries and a game that though it i made long life friends.
